June 12, 2012. The recent rains caused about a foot and a half worth of water to flood the new rescue shelter in Pensacola along with the administrative offices of Waterfront Rescue Mission this past weekend. All of the clients and staff were safe and the shelter has already reopened to serving the homeless. A ribbon cutting ceremony was planned for Wednesday June 13th, however this has been postponed until further notice. While the Mission has reopened, there is still so much work that needs to be done and items to be replaced. At this time, the best form of help would be through an online donation which can be made by clicking here. Thank you for the prayers and support.
