LEVEL 1 OPPORTUNITIES are for individuals who wish to serve one-time, semi-regularly, or on a regular basis.  Level 1 volunteers do not necessarily need to be practicing Christians, but must sign an Honor Statement and agree to honor the Statement of Faith of Waterfront Rescue Mission.

All volunteers must be placed on the schedule by the Volunteer Ministry Team in order to serve.


Client Contact Volunteer Opportunities

  • Guest Services Attendant
    • Time Commitment: 2:30pm-4:30pm; Job Summary: An individual is needed to greet and help register men for night lodging at the Mission.  This individual would also be trained in Service Point Software.
  • Medication Distributor
    • Time Commitment: 6:00am-8:00am or 5:00pm-7:00pm; Job Summary: An individual is needed to assist the Chaplains and Program Manager with medicine distribution/call, as well as assisting with clerical aspect of organizing papers, medicine and supplies related to med call.
  • Day Resource Center Secretary
    • Time Commitment: varies; Job Summary: A secretary is needed to perform administrative duties working in conjunction with another or additional part-time volunteers.
