On August 2, 1949, our founder, Reverend Vernon Hozey, opened the doors to the Gulf Coast's homeless and addicted. Since then, Waterfront Rescue Mission has provided over 2.3 Million nights of shelter in Pensacola, FL, and Mobile, AL.

2024 marks a momentous year for Waterfront Rescue Mission as we commemorate 75 years of delivering hope and healing to our community. Though time has passed, the everlasting message of hope has remained at the forefront of our work.
