When Home Isn't an Option, Hope Is
After being discharged from the hospital, most people long for the comfort of their own home—a place to rest, recover, and heal. But for those facing homelessness, the journey from hospital bed to healing can seem impossible.
Introducing Arukah Respite Center
We are providing hospitals with a compassionate solution for their homeless patients—a safe and comforting place to recover. Our Pensacola, Florida facility contains 10 medical beds for men and 7 for women, and our Mobile, Alabama facility contains 10 medical beds, thanks to the generous support of Baptist Health Care.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28
An Arukah Referral Form must be submitted by a case manager, social worker, or registered nurse of a participating healthcare facility; Arukah Respite will not accept patient self-referrals. An Arukah Referral Form must be received and approved by the Program Manager prior to the individual's arrival to the Arukah Respite Center.
